Rahul Gandhi, Anna Hazare and Gandhigiri
Rahul Gandhi keeps showing the Indian people the level of his immaturity.
He claims to be a true ‘Gandhian’ – just because he has watched Lage Raho Munnabhai multiple times.
News flash for you Rahul
A true Gandhian would have stood alongside Anna Hazare – as several Gandhians did (and as Rahul Gandhi failed to do).
News Flash 2
Just because your last name is Gandhi, does not make you a Gandhian. It does not even make you a true member of the great Gandhi family. Nehru would have not supported you Rahul – because he would have seen you continually misuse the family name (lacking any real accomplishments). Rajiv Gandhi would also have supported Anna. In no sense, Dear Rahul, are you a Gandhian. Not in the sense of your family name, nor in the more precious way that the Mahatma and Anna Hazare are Gandhians!
Anna has messed up Rahul’s plans?
Rahul Gandhi was all set to walk into the highest office in India. He thought – as long as he had the Gandhi name – all he needed were a few credentials – and that would be it. Walking up and down India (for NINE years as he so likes to repeatedly remind us), he thought, would do the trick. For good measure, watching Lage Raho Munnabhai (multiple times) would also add to this intimidating list of credentials. Unfortunately, the Indian people saw through his ‘walk across U.P.’ campaign. Months after his walk, farmers are still being persecuted in U.P. and Pune – with no Government intervention or help to return their (unlawfully grabbed) land. It became apparent that Rahul’s hue and cry was not for the plight of the farmers as it was for gaining political points.
Finished my Homework – Can I go play (be P.M.) now?
Rahul Gandhi believes that his ‘walking up and down India’ has taught him about India – and now that he has finished his homework , he should be made PM. His level of immaturity continues to astound me. Earlier in the year, he was responsible for perhaps the most obtuse remark (on the Mumbai attacks) made by a politicians (and in India, the nominees are aplenty). His exact comments were We will stop 99 percent of the attacks – but 1% of the attacks might get through…! It seemed to me that no one could out-do a remark as insensitive as that – but I underestimated Rahul Gandhi. He came back with a ‘I am the true Gandhi…’ because:
a) My last name is Gandhi
b) I have spent the last 9 years walking (yatra) up and down India
c) I have watched Lage Raho Munnabhai – not once – but multiple times!
All he had to do was support Anna
In reality, if Rahul Gandhi wanted to win the hearts and minds of India, all he had to do was give a thumbs up to Anna Hazare and the Anti-Corruption movement (His statement in parliament, while thanking Anna, did not recognize the movement as a democratic, peaceful movement). Rahul must feel really threatened by a frail, 74 year old man – as he is repeatedly trying to lash out against Anna. The threat to India is not from Anna – Dear Rahul – it is from people who fail to understand the magnitude of Anna Hazare’s cause. History will recognize the cause – and will note the names of people who supported – and those who opposed this nation building movement. And Rahul Gandhi will, unfortunately, belong in the latter group.
Is Rahul seriously considering becoming P.M.? Can he even spell P.M.?
