Reusing an old email to target a group of email recipients
When you have a large list of email recipients that you need to send the same email to, it is often convenient to dig through a previous email (could be from another user, or could be one that you had sent out earlier) that contained all those recipients. So – you simply hit ‘Reply All’, replace the old subject line with your new subject – and replace the content (body) with your new message. So – what could go wrong?
Well – if the old email had a priority set to ‘High’, your new email inherits that priority. So – that could be one ‘unintentional’ urgency created by your (otherwise sound) idea of reusing an old email.
