Not all web hosts are created equal. To a business, the importance of a reliable web-hosting provider is as essential as having a reliable bank or a reliable lawyer. Getting stuck with an unreliable and unsupportive web host is one of the worst things for a small business. And poor web hosting providers are aplenty. I remember dealing with yahoo web hosting a few years back – and swearing never to go back to them.   1. Uptime Not Guaranteed – They happily informed me that they were going to take my site down for ‘scheduled OS upgrades’. They said they could not ‘afford’ to keep sites up during their maintenance periods!!
  2. Prorated Amount not refunded – If you paid for an entire year – and decided to cancel prior to the year end, guess what? Not only do they not refund your pro-rated amount, they refuse to even Cancel your account! They keep the site up till the end of the year!
